COGITATE DATA RELEASE

All data that was collected as part of the COGITATE project, will be released in a public repository. This large dataset contains multimodal neuroimaging data (MEG, fMRI, iEEG), as well as behavioral and eye tracking data, collected from two different experimental paradigms, along with robust metadata - all in accordance with FAIR principles.

More information about the data that has been collected and experimental protocols are already available in our
preregistration on OSF and PLOS ONE Methods paper.

How to Access COGITATE Data

We offer two methods for accessing COGITATE data.

One option is to access the full repository using XNAT. This method enables users a personalized experience, whereby access is open-ended; Data Users can pick and choose and search the data to download. The other option is direct download of archival data bundles. Downloading the prepared bundles is straightforward and provides a facile method to start working with COGITATE data.

Each method requires a separate user account. When accessing the data via XNAT, an XNAT user account is needed. When downloading the prepared data bundles directly, a user account via this website is required. Both are simple and quick to create.

Documentation

COGITATE provides extensive documentation as a supplement to each version of the data release. Here you will find information about the COGITATE project, the experimental protocols used, data acquisition details, definition of the data types, how-to guides for accessing the data, as well as an explanation of the data curation procedure.

The documentation will help you navigate the dataset and will be continually elaborated to improve interoperabiltiy with the data.
