Ling Liu

Postdoc
School of Psychological and Cognitive Science @ Peking University

Ling completed a BA in psychology and a Ph.D in Cognitive Neuroscience (PhD supervisor: Jia Liu, Beijing Normal University,China), study the interaction with gene-brain(fMRI)-behavior. Then Ling join the Huan's lab at Peking University as a postdoc investigating neural dynamic of visual perception with MEG. In Huan’s lab, she focuses on the study of neural dynamics of global precedence effect in visual perception, by using integrative approaches including psychophysics, Temporal response function (TRF), MVPA decoding and computational neural model. After studying the available literature and experimental evidence, Ling realized that Human perceived the world is different from what the Computer do.

Ling is interested in how human perceived the world in their own way, especially in the temporal dimension, and how external information is processed over time into a person's unique conscious experience.
