Marcelo Armendariz

Marcelo received a B.Eng./M.Eng. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Vigo (Spain), an M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the TU Madrid (Spain), and a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from the KU Leuven (Belgium). He has recently been awarded the FWO fellowship. Currently, Marcelo is a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and the Boston Children’s Hospital in the lab of Prof. Gabriel Kreiman.

Marcelo’s research combines intracranial neurophysiological recordings in the human brain, behavioral experiments, and machine learning to investigate the neural mechanisms and computational principles of human cognition.
